"Target Audience"

Is it a normal sized mousetrap with a tiny TV set, or is it a giant sized mousetrap with a normal sized TV? You decide. The narratives I've heard either way are resonant.

I especially like the optical illusion that the image tilts to the right.

NOTE: I'm not especially interested in selling this original canvas, so I've intentionally set it as Sold Out. However, I do want it visible in the store as it provides thematic context for washlively.com images and merchandise (Most of the digital tableaux on washlively.com have a hand painted, large format canvas counterpart.)

As with all of my OXXO work, this painting is made with very saturated, high-key, matte acrylic paint. There's absolutely no sheen on any of the colors, so there's no glare under intense light.

This is NOT a mockup. This is a physical canvas that I stretched and painted on a frame I built myself. There's been no Photoshop manipulation of the painting whatsoever other than to isolate it from the background and studio props, which have been desaturated and blurred for emphasis. The colors have not been enhanced and are as bright and solid as they appear in the photos.

Props are not for sale.
